Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of HDG Community and its membership tools. By creating an account, subscribing, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
HDG Community ("HDG Community", "we", "us", "our") is operated by ASMY For Engineering Services & Consultant (شركة الأسمى للخدمات والاستشارات الهندسية), a company registered in the Arab Republic of Egypt (commercial registry no. 42785), with registered address at Diarb Negm City, Sharkia Governorate, Egypt (Postal Code 44788). 2. Definitions
- Service — the HDG Community website, members area, and the calculators, tools, exports and resources we provide.
- Member — a person with a registered account and an active subscription.
- Subscription — a recurring monthly or annual membership plan.
- Paddle — Paddle.com Market Ltd, our reseller and Merchant of Record (see section 6).
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. The tools are intended for professional and educational use within the galvanizing and steel-fabrication industries.
4. Your account
You agree to provide accurate registration details and to keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. One account is for one person; membership credentials may not be shared. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
5. Membership & subscriptions
Membership gives you access to the tools described on our pricing page for as long as your subscription is active. Subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual basis and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. We may add, change, or retire individual tools over time; we will not materially reduce the core value of an active paid plan without notice.
6. Payments, billing & Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. Paddle handles the transaction, payment processing, billing, tax, invoicing, and related customer-service enquiries. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically and your payment method is charged at the start of each period.
- Applicable taxes (e.g. VAT/sales tax) are calculated and collected by Paddle based on your location.
- We may change subscription prices; changes will not affect your current paid period and we will give reasonable notice before a renewal at a new price.
- We do not receive or store your full card details.
7. Cancellation & refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period and it will not renew. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
8. Acceptable use
When using the Service you agree not to:
- share, resell, sublicense, or provide access to your account to others;
- copy, scrape, or systematically extract the tools, data, or content;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source of the tools;
- use the Service unlawfully or in a way that harms its operation or security.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including the tools, calculations, methods, design, text and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own professional purposes while your subscription is active. Outputs you generate (e.g. exported calculations, drawings, and PDFs) may be used freely in your own work.
10. Professional use & disclaimer
The tools provide estimates and guidance based on standard methods, published data, and the inputs you supply. They are decision-support aids, not a substitute for professional engineering judgement, applicable codes and standards, supplier data, or site-specific verification.
You are responsible for checking results before relying on them. We are not liable for decisions, designs, costs, or outcomes arising from use of the tools.
11. Availability & "as is"
We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but it is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, loss of profit, or loss of data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling your subscription and, if you wish, asking us to delete your account.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated to members. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence. Transaction-related matters handled by Paddle are additionally subject to Paddle's terms.
