Years in Galvanizing

You Have the Capital.
The Plant Does Not Exist Yet.

A galvanizing plant is decided in its first drawings: the kettle size fixes what you can sell for as long as that kettle stands, and the tank line and cranes fix how much of it you can sell per shift. This page is for the people who make that decision once.

💼
Investors Entering Galvanizing
You see the demand and want a plant, and you need someone on your side of the table who has bought the equipment and run it afterwards.
🏭
Steel Businesses Without Their Own Line
Fabricators and makers of structures, towers, poles, gratings and cable trays who pay others to galvanize and want the coating, the schedule and the margin in their own hands.
➕
Owners Adding a Plant
You run one plant and plan a second, a larger kettle or a spin line for small parts, and you want it built while the first keeps producing.

Six Stages,
One Responsible Engineer

01

Feasibility and market

What your market will send you: article sizes, steel types, tonnage and seasons. The answer sets the kettle, and the kettle sets everything else.

02

Layout and sizing

Kettle and tank-line sizing, crane coverage, material flow from black steel to dispatch, and room left for the expansion you will want later.

03

Equipment and procurement

Specifications, supplier quotations compared on the same basis, and the purchase of the complete line, from the furnace to fume extraction.

04

Building and utilities

Foundations and the steel building, power and gas, water and drainage, acid storage, and supervision of the civil work against the layout.

05

Environment and safety

Fume and effluent handling designed in from the first drawing, with the documents your authorities and your customers will ask for.

06

Commissioning and ramp-up

Trial runs, operator training and first production, with zinc reconciliation, records and KPIs in place from the first commercial batch.

A Plant That Runs
Without Its Builder

📐
A Plant Sized for Your Market
Kettle, tanks and cranes chosen for the steel you will actually receive, not for a brochure capacity.
👷
A Trained Team
Operators and supervisors trained on your own line during commissioning, so the knowledge stays in the plant.
📊
Numbers From Day One
Zinc, ash and dross, acid, flux and fuel measured per tonne from the first month, so you know what a tonne costs you.
📋
A Quality System Customers Accept
Inspection, testing and records to ASTM A123/A123M and ISO 1461, with traceability from black steel to dispatch.

Start With
a First Sizing

HDG Plant Design turns an output target and a market into a sized plant and a first capital-cost estimate. It is a starting figure for a conversation, not a quotation. Open the tool, free and with no sign-up, or read Part III of the book, which covers building a plant chapter by chapter.

Tell Us the Market, the Site and the Timing

One email is enough to start. Say what you intend to galvanize, where the plant would stand and when you want it producing, and you will get a straight answer on what it takes.
