Plant HealthAudit

Zinc  ·  Ash and dross  ·  Pickling acid  ·  Flux  ·  Fuel  ·  Rework

Find out where your galvanizing plant loses zinc, acid and money, from twelve months of your own data.

Most Plants Know
Their Tonnage

Fewer know, month by month, how much zinc each tonne really took, how much of it left as ash and dross, whether the pickling baths are working in their efficient zone, or what the kettle burns per tonne. The Plant Health Audit answers those questions from the numbers you already record, and tells you which changes are worth the most.

One Workbook,
One Plain Report

01

You fill one workbook

Twelve months of production, zinc, kettle, pickling, flux, fuel and quality figures, one column per month. Leave blank what you do not record: the report says what could not be calculated instead of guessing.

02

We benchmark it

Your figures go through the same calculations as the HDG Community tools, including the Kleingarn model for the pickling baths, and are compared with published reference ranges. Each range is shown with its source.

03

You get a plain report

A scorecard, your baths placed on the Kleingarn diagram month by month, and a ranked list of what to fix first, written so it can go to the owner and to the shop floor.

The Numbers,
Then the Actions

📊
Scorecard
Zinc per tonne, gross and net of ash and dross, acid per tonne on a common strength, flux, binding wire and rework, each against a reference range where a published one exists.
⚖️
Zinc Reconciliation
Whether your zinc receipts, stock and consumption agree, and how much of the zinc you buy leaves as ash and dross instead of coating.
🧪
Pickling Bath Review
Your free acid and iron readings placed on the Kleingarn diagram, showing the months a bath ran outside its efficient zone and in which direction.
📋
Ranked Action List
What to fix first, and how to value each fix at your own tonnage and prices. No savings figure is invented for you.

See the format before you decide: sample report for a fictional plant (PDF). Every figure in it is invented to show the layout.

It Stays
Yours

Your workbook and your report are used only for your audit. Nothing is published, and no plant is named in any HDG Community material.

Ask for the Data Workbook

One email is enough to start. Say which package you are considering and what your plant galvanizes, and you will receive the workbook and a straight answer on what the audit can and cannot tell you.
